(Commerce City, CO — Won Jeong) LAFC’s Son Heung-min found the net in an away match against Colorado, marking his first goal at altitude in the Mile High city.

On October 18 (local time), the Colorado Rapids hosted LAFC at home.
In this match, South Korean national team forward Son Heung-min opened the scoring and led his team toward victory.

Starting as a lone striker up front, Son actively linked up with right winger Timothy Tillman, creating several attacking opportunities.

In the 42nd minute, Son made a cutting run through the center and fired a powerful left-footed shot into the net, shaking Colorado’s goal.
With that strike, LAFC took a 1–0 lead.

Both teams turned up the intensity in the second half, scoring a total of three goals.

In the 62nd minute, Colorado midfielder Aaronson capitalized on a loose ball following a defensive mistake by LAFC and slotted it home to level the match. LA goalkeeper Hugo Lloris dove with his right hand fully stretched, but the ball beat him by a fraction of a second.

As the match neared its end, in the 87th minute, Colorado forward Yapi met a low, sharp cross from Larraz with his head, completing a comeback and giving Colorado a 2–1 lead.

The game seemed destined to end in a Colorado victory.
However, in the 90th minute, LA midfielder Moran combined with Ebobisse in a clever one-two just outside the box, dismantling Colorado’s defense. Ebobisse’s shot struck the right post and rebounded, but Moran reacted instantly, slotting the ball into the lower right corner of the net.

That late goal leveled the match at 2–2.

For Colorado, who desperately needed a win to stay in playoff contention, the draw was a heavy blow. As of October 18, Colorado sits 11th in the Western Conference, just behind San Jose, making postseason qualification increasingly difficult.
