(Denver, CO  – Won Jeong) The Colorado Mammoth are bringing a familiar face back behind the bench.
The team announced that Assistant General Manager Andrew McBride will return as the club’s Defensive Coordinator ahead of the upcoming National Lacrosse League (NLL) season.

McBride previously held the same position from 2019 to 2023, helping Head Coach Pat Coyle craft one of the league’s most dominant defensive cores. During his tenure, the Mammoth reached back-to-back NLL Finals, earning a reputation for gritty, disciplined play on the back end.

“Andrew has made a tremendous impact on our organization,” said General Manager Brad Self. “His energy, leadership, and ability to connect with players make him a perfect fit to guide our defense again. We’re thrilled to have him back.”

For McBride, who has spent his life around the game, the return feels both natural and meaningful.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to get back behind the bench,” he said. “Coaching is my passion, and I’m excited to build on what we’ve started — with the ultimate goal of bringing another championship home to Denver.”

In addition to his duties with the Mammoth, McBride serves as the General Manager and Head Coach of the Raiders Jr. A Lacrosse Club in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League (RMLL), where he continues to mentor young players and scout future NLL talent north of the border.

A three-time NLL champion as a player, McBride recently led the Raiders to the 2025 Minto Cup as Alberta’s representative team — where Coyle’s Coquitlam Adanacs ultimately captured the title.

The Mammoth confirmed McBride has signed a two-year contract, effective immediately, solidifying his role both in the front office and behind the bench as the team prepares for the 2025–26 NLL season.
