(Thornton = Wongeol Jeong) The Colorado Summit hosted the Oregon Steel for their 2025 season home opener.
On the 26th (local time), the UFA regular season match between Colorado Summit and Oregon Steel was held at Colorado’s home field, the Pinnacle Athletic Complex.
In this match, Colorado showcased several new faces.
First, Homegrown Player Andrew Muller took the field wearing the Colorado uniform for the first time. Muller has previously participated in tryouts for other UFA teams, including Austin Sol, and has also played for various Colorado club teams.
Muller made a strong impression, creating turnovers with layout defense and displaying active play throughout the game.
Another standout rookie was Hunter May, wearing number 10. May contributed to the team’s victory by recording 2 assists, 2 blocks, and 3 goals. His sharp movements penetrating the defense helped open up attacking opportunities and destabilized Oregon’s defensive line.
The top scorer of the match was Brown, who recorded 4 goals, while Atkins led in blocks with 4.
Starting with a dominant 7-2 lead in the first quarter, Colorado maintained control throughout and finished the game with a commanding 24-12 “double score” victory over Oregon.
