[UFA] Colorado Summit, the Beginning of UFA and the 2024 Season
Colorado Summit Competing in the Third Pro League in 2024

(Golden = David Jeong) Colorado Summit, which achieved a record of participating in the top North American ultimate frisbee league playoffs for two consecutive years in 2022, announced yesterday that it will be joining the new name of the AUDL, UFA (Ultimate Frisbee Association).
UFA’s CEA Steve Hall stated, “Over the past 10 years, we have made tremendous progress to achieve the greatest global growth and differentiate ourselves from other disc sports. We are making our brand more easily recognized in the broader community, setting the stage for more youth engagement.”
Also, Sal Pace, the co-owner of Summit, expressed his opinion on the start of the 2024 season, stating, “This is a momentous day for our league and the sport of ultimate frisbee.”
UFA has also changed its logo along with the name.
The red color signifies the tradition used in the league’s palette since 2012, while the blue represents the limitless sky and the global reach of ultimate frisbee, according to UFA.
In the 2024 season, UFA plans to introduce the ‘Super Series.’ The Super Series will feature top weekly games streamed live and for free on UFA YouTube and selected social media channels.
“Ultimate frisbee and the UFA are built for the next generation sports fan,” said Legends Growth Enterprises President Gabby Roe. Legends has entered a multi-year strategic partnership with UFA for sponsorship sales, customer data analysis, and merchandise services, aiming to drive revenue growth. Legends acquired a minority equity stake in the league in 2022. UFA will continue to expand its global reach with additional digital products, including a new ultimate frisbee video game set to launch later this year, daily and season-long fantasy competitions, updated video content, and more.
The 2024 UFA schedule will be officially released in February, with the opening weekend scheduled for April 2024. The league’s thirteenth title weekend, now named the UFA Championship, will take place at Zions Bank Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah, on August 23-24.
