[Event] Cat Fest Colorado Springs Returns July 26 with a Purr-fect Day of Feline Fun

(Colorado Springs = Won Jeong) Cat lovers, get ready — Cat Fest Colorado Springs is back on Saturday, July 26, promising a day packed with everything feline at the Norris Penrose Event Center. From celebrity cats and kitten yoga to cat-themed shopping and a mystical Egyptian Cat Temple, this all-ages event is set to delight both casual admirers and hardcore cat enthusiasts.
The spotlight is, of course, on the cats. Local shelters and rescue groups will be present with dozens of adoptable cats, and the International Cat Association (TICA) will host a Cat Show featuring even more furry stars. TICA is also organizing Breed Meet-and-Greets, where attendees can pet and learn about breeds like the Persian, Toyger, Maine Coon, Norwegian Forest Cat, and Selkirk Rex.
Internet-famous feline influencer Nathan the CatLady will be on-site all day for meet-and-greets and will take the stage at 12:00 noon to share stories and slides from his international rescue missions.
A new highlight this year is Kitten Yoga, hosted by Yoga with Eva, offering three sessions throughout the day (11:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 3:30 PM), all included in the ticket price. Visitors can also relax in the Cat Video Café, where non-stop cat videos play on large screens while guests enjoy food from a themed menu.

Those looking for a more mystical experience can explore the Egyptian Cat Temple, complete with 8-foot-tall cat goddess statues, tarot readings, a pet psychic, and a golden Memory Wall honoring cats who have passed on.
Attendees can also participate in a costume contest, get free face painting, or compete in the “Creepiest Cat Story” panel at 2:00 PM to win Cat Cash that can be used with vendors. Nearly all entertainment and activities are included with admission (except food and adoption fees).
Presented by Dana Cain Events, winner of 16 “Best of Denver” awards, Cat Fest is sponsored by TICA, Dr. Elsey’s Precious Cat Products, and the EveryCat Health Foundation.
General admission is $20, with Family 4-packs available for $72 through July 24. Military families enjoy discounted entry at $15, and children 5 and under get in free. VIP tickets ($40) include early entry, front-row seating, and a souvenir cat ear headband. The festival runs from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with free parking on site.
