(Denver – Wongeol Jeong) Colorado pitcher Bradley Blalock secured his first victory at Colorado’s home stadium, Coors Field.

On the 18th, Colorado hosted San Diego for a regular-season MLB game.

In this game, Blalock became the key player in his team’s victory, allowing only 1 run through 5 innings.

In the top of the 4th inning, Blalock allowed a double to San Diego’s right fielder David Peralta, which brought home the runner, Merrill, who had advanced earlier.

However, in the bottom of the 6th inning, Colorado began to take the lead when Jacob Stallings hit a single, bringing Brenton Doyle home to make it 2-1. Colorado further extended the lead to 3-1 when Michael Toglia scored off a hit by Sam Hilliard.

Colorado’s closer, Victor Vodnik, then finished the game without allowing any runs in the top of the 9th inning, securing a 3-2 victory.

Colorado will head to an away series against the Washington Nationals starting on the 20th.
