Dodgers’ Bats Overpower Rockies in 11-4 Win at Coors Field

(DENVER = Won Jeong, Ella Kim) The Colorado Rockies saw their four-game winning streak come to an end Tuesday night, falling 11-4 to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the second game of a four-game set at Coors Field.
Austin Gomber (0-7) endured another rough outing, lasting just three innings while allowing seven earned runs on nine hits. He has now dropped his first seven decisions of the season, joining Kyle Freeland (2025) as the only pitchers in Rockies history with that distinction.
The Dodgers’ offense exploded for 18 hits, with every starter recording at least one. Alex Call went 4-for-5 with a 453-foot homer, while Freddie Freeman added his 32nd double of the season. Shohei Ohtani blasted his NL-leading 44th home run, tying Kyle Schwarber, and extended his on-base streak against Colorado to 27 games.
Emmet Sheehan (4-2) worked six innings, striking out seven for the win.

Colorado’s Brenton Doyle provided a highlight for the home fans, belting his 12th homer of the season, and rookie Kyle Karros hit his first career long ball in the sixth.
With the loss, Colorado fell to 36-90 on the season and 1-7 against the Dodgers, who clinched the season series for the eighth straight year.
