ㅊ
Today, both offense and defense battled it out for the Rockies. Recently debuted rookie McCade Brown took the start today. A few runs slipped by him, but he pitched four innings, with only 3 runs passing by. For his fifth start, Brown battled well out on the mound today. Ryan Rolison, also a rookie this year, picked up for Brown, pitching a scoreless inning. After a quick inning from Jadon Hill, Juan Mejia stepped in for an inning. Roansy Contreras took the Rockies to their closing pitcher, Angel Chivilli.
On the offensive side this evening the Rockies took off running ahead, taking the first two points. Kyle Farmer singled on a line drive to score Ezequiel Tovar for the first, and Braxton Fulford made a sacrifice fly to score rookie Blaine Crim for the second. In the third inning, Jordan Beck scored catcher Hunter Goodman to tie their scores 3-3. The Marlins pulled ahead, but right fielder Mickey Moniak hit a home run in the ninth, a last effort to pull ahead. This was his third game in a row hitting a homerun. The Rockies will take to the field again tomorrow, ready to prevent a series sweep.
