[MLB] Rockies’ Freeland returns stronger, shows upgraded stuff

[Denver, CO = Won Jeong) Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Kyle Freeland has returned to the mound looking more formidable than ever.
On the 8th, in a home game against Arizona, Freeland was named the starter. Arizona’s starter was Gallen.
Freeland ground out the first batter, Marte, with two 92.8-mph fastballs.
He followed up with a sinker, changeup, knuckle curve, and slider, keeping the Arizona offense in check.
However, Freeland’s pitches were read by the Arizona hitters in the 4th inning, giving up four runs in that inning alone.
In the 5th inning, Freeland increased his pitch count, harassing the Arizona hitters. However, this increased his pitch count. Freeland finished the 5th inning without giving up any runs and handed the mound over to Peter Lambert at the start of the 6th inning.
The Rockies then effectively shut down Arizona’s offense with Lambert, Lawrence, Mears, and Bird, winning the game 7-5.
